Celtic folk music is my newest musical passion. Perhaps my Cameron ancestors are calling me from the Scottish highlands.
Shortly after I began learning jigs and reels on the whistle, my husband decided to join the fun -- on accordion, the instrument of his childhood. Together we form a duo we call The Twa Dogs, after a poem by Robert Burns. We have an ever-growing repertoire of jigs, reels and folks songs. We've included a few songs preserved by Robert Burns in the Scottish tradition, as well as a few melodies by Ireland's national composer Turlough O'Carolan.
